A new Women and Girls Safe Space will be opened soon. Newly-hired caseworker, Dalia, learns why and how programs consult with women and girls to make decisions about interventions and services. In this episode, the focus is on Standard 2 of The Inter-Agency Minimum Standards for Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies Programming, that “women and girls are engaged as active partners and leaders in influencing the humanitarian sector to prevent GBV and support survivors’ access to quality services.” The Gender-Based Violence Minimum Standards Mini-Series is presented by International Rescue Committee, and hosted on the Women’s Protection and Empowerment podcast.
