Northern Disclosure

The Northern Exposure rewatch podcast you didn’t know you needed: co-stars Rob Morrow and Janine Turner return with Northern Disclosure, revisiting all 110 episodes of the Emmy-winning, Golden Globe-nominated ‘90s series. As one of TV’s most beloved on-screen couples, Morrow and Turner are back with the same chemistry and frank, quirky banter that captivated audiences. Along the way, they’re joined by co-stars and original creators to share never-before-heard behind-the-scenes stories and rediscover the magic of Northern Exposure. It’s honest, fun, and full of the same quirky charm that made Cicely, Alaska a classic.

Love it!

My mom originally watched the show when it came out and made sure to not miss an episode. Fast-forward to now, we have watched the show on Amazon prime together and have really enjoyed every episode. We are on the final season. I am 25 and she is 60 and every episode is gold. There is no show like Northern Exposure. On another note, Janine, you would be a great replacement for David Attenborough. My mom thought this up and messaged you, but with your love of animals it would be perfect. You could narrate from home or go on site. Also, the negative reviews are just ugly people in a bad mood. Slam the ignore button! ~Dr. Nelson

It’s the Janine Turner show. *sigh* Don’t have guests if you’re going to talk about yourself and talk over them. Please. She also seems to interpret the show and commentary through an oddly conservative lens that blames for “humanity” causes cancel culture, instead of people being held accountable for their impact on others. As Marilyn said, “Yucatangee talked so much it heard only itself. Not the river, not the wind, not eventually the Wolf. The Raven came and said, ‘The Wolf is hungry. If you stop talking, you'll hear him. The wind too. And when you hear the wind, you'll fly.’”

I lived in WA state during the filming of NE (Morty the Moose lived on campus at WSU where I went to school, so cool!) & absolutely loved the show. I was so looking forward to the great witty back & forth between Joel & Maggie and a fun recap of the series. But that is not what this is, sadly. Janine Turner goes off on tangents so often, interrupts with nonsensical things and generally yammers on & on about stuff I’m just not interested in. Rob Morrow for his part seems to try to keep her in track, but neither are particularly good podcast hosts & neither know how to do an interesting interview with a guest. I gave it 4 episodes but I think I’m giving up on this one

Great revisit with enriching details to texture the landscape of a iconic show. Thanks for the collaboration.
