On a pitch-dark night in April 1989, a young man named Chip Flynn was shot in a Florida orange grove. His ex-girlfriend Kim was the only surviving witness and claimed a Black man had robbed, kidnapped, and killed Chip. A year later, Crosley Green was sentenced to death by an all-white jury for Flynn's murder—a crime Green insists he didn’t commit. "48 Hours" correspondent Erin Moriarty has followed this controversial case for 25 years, delving into inconsistencies — from coerced confessions to allegations of a racial hoax — that challenge the integrity of the verdict. Now, Moriarty shares exclusive recordings and new interviews with forensic experts, legal analysts, and Green himself from prison. Murder in the Orange Grove, an 8-episode series from “48 Hours,” offers the most comprehensive deep dive into this shocking case that leaves one man fighting desperately for his freedom. Mr. Green needs to be released!
1월 4일
There are so many wrongs in this case that he should have never been convicted in the first place. Common sense comes in to play from the start. The girlfriend Kim is who I would have looked at from the get go. The prosecutor White is worried about his self instead of admitting he was wrong (that’s very sad due to the job he held). I’ve never been behind bars and I can’t even begin to imagine what it would feel like being in Mr Green’s shoes all this time. I wonder if Mr White has ever thought of that.. I doubt it. The whole justice system has let Mr. Green down completely. NO ONE in the county is willing to own up to the mistakes made and admit Mr Green is not guilty (Disgrace). NO ONE at the state level has done right by using common sense and holding anyone accountable for Mr Green not getting a fair trial (big disgrace). Finally NO ONE at the federal level has done right by making sure the court systems are keep in check and that this type of thing doesn’t happen to an innocent person (BIGGER DISGRACE). For all the people who looked at this case at all levels, you have forgotten why you went to law school and you should feel ashamed that you didn’t do the right thing. Last but not least, the Florida parole commission board needs to have everyone resign or be investigated for not doing the right thing when the board made a mistake. They made the mistake and they should be dealt the consequences. Mr Green didn’t do anything with the parole board, that’s 100% them. You have one job do it and do it correctly. Everyone that has done Mr Green wrong through this whole case needs to look in the mirror and call themselves a failure.

Very well done deep dive into a sad case of a clear wrongful conviction. Heartbreaking, I’m hoping for a miracle for Crossley and true justice for Chip, because this definitely isn’t it.
