Maintenance Phase

I love this podcast and especially enjoy that it challenges some of my preconceived notions and culturally/socially derived beliefs about health and nutrition. I don’t always agree with the takeaways, but I think listening to the whole catalog of episodes (not quite finished but working on it) has helped me to better understand some of their conclusions. I was a little disappointed that the May bonus episode about water myths did not mention the public water crisis in Flint, Michigan. While I think by and large public water in the US is safe to drink, there are some stunningly horrific examples from recent history about how it can also not be. I think Flint could have been addressed without detracting from the overall point that public water is generally safer or at least tested more consistently than bottled water.

I had never binge-listened to a podcast until I discovered Maintenance Phase. The hosts have the best chemistry and keep me laughing and thinking, and every topic they present is extremely well-researched and thoughtfully discussed. Thank you for exploring such important issues so critically and intelligently but also with so much heart. Editing a year later to say: Still my favorite podcast! I’ve listened to almost every episode at this point and am now starting to go back to give them a second listen while on my evening walks. Aubrey and Michael keep me laughing and the humor and bond between the two of them just warms my soul. Thank you both for putting so much good into this world.

Mike and Aubrey have really helped me move to a healthier brainspace with food, but also they're just hilarious and fun and I love this podcast so darn much

This is a great podcast. Full of critical thinking and fun and witty banter. Listening feels like talking to two good friends. I really wish that all the moral-less grifters they’ve exposed over the years weren’t running our government (looking at you, RFK Jr., Dr. Phil …🤮)
