This is the case of Liana Duke (Davidson) and Erik Duke. Liana is my Stepmom’s cousin and I have recently been reading on the case. It is a sad and messed up story.. could you please cover it? - a long listener
Utterly Obsessed

Love the story telling style with the brief banter between the two and little to no outside recordings
Use to love it

Can’t even finish listening to the Kimberly Doss update episode. So naive/poor judgement to take what neglectful parent &/or family members (who let a 14 yr old child live w/a boyfriend b/c mom left w/new husband) now report to a podcast. Believing even the accusation that FBI lied? On top of everything else I could list… This is bad reporting.
More Crime, Less Agenda Please

I’ve been a longtime listener of Crime Junkie and have always appreciated the storytelling, research, and the passion that Ashley and Brit bring to each case. The early episodes especially had me hooked, and I loved the focus on giving victims a voice. That said, I’ve found myself disappointed with the direction the show has taken recently. It feels like there’s been a noticeable shift toward injecting political and racial commentary into almost every episode. While I absolutely believe it’s important to acknowledge injustice where it exists, it sometimes feels like the show is making broad generalizations or forcing a narrative that overshadows the facts of the case. I miss when the podcast focused on the actual stories, the victims, and the investigative angles without so much editorializing. It’s okay to acknowledge systemic issues—but not every crime can or should be boiled down to the same political talking points.
