What Happened to Talina Zar

I found the podcast really compelling—it's a wild and fascinating story that kept me hooked. Yes, there are a lot of ads, but honestly, that's par for the course these days. Just fast-forward through them. The one aspect I struggled with was Jess. I understand she’s a real person and clearly invested in the case, but her approach rubbed me the wrong way. She often comes across as overly confident in her opinions, despite not being a trained investigator. At times, she seems to dismiss the work of actual professionals in favor of her own theories, which can feel more speculative than insightful. Her strong, sometimes sweeping judgments about people and events make it hard to separate fact from interpretation.

I love this show. I have literally inhaled all 3 seasons. I feel like the reporting is well rounded and respectful of everyone’s point of view. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I feel like there are too many episodes per season. The information could be delivered in a more succinct way. Still, what a great show.

I guess it’s a way of getting subscribers, but the number of ads is distracting from the content and frankly feels like a money grab. Sad because the content is excellent. In a market this saturated, it easy to find more listener friendly options not so commercialized.

I like the show, but it is incredibly frustrating to have ads pop up constantly, but more irritating is that the ads are for the show I’m currently listening to. You’ve got me; I’m listening. Please stop the madness.
